PDF to URL: Share a PDF With a Link

Free · no sign-up · Terms

Drop a file into this PDF to URL tool and copy a direct link that opens it in any browser. Free, no sign-up, up to 10 MB per PDF.

How to share a PDF with a link (3 steps)

  1. Upload your PDF

Drag the file onto the box or tap Choose PDF. Optionally choose how long to keep it.

  2. Copy the link

When the upload finishes, press Copy link. Save the delete link if you may want to remove the file later.

  3. Share or embed it

Paste the link into an email, chat or forum post, or copy the HTML link, Markdown or BBCode version.

What is checked before your PDF goes online

Every file is checked on our server: it must really be a PDF (not just a file named .pdf), be 10 MB or smaller, not be password-protected, and contain no scripts, embedded files or other active content. Files that fail a check are rejected. Accepted PDFs are stored exactly as you uploaded them, with no watermark and no compression.

What you get from the PDF to URL tool

Direct PDF link

A short link like /i/k7m2xqa.pdf that opens the document in the browser’s built-in PDF viewer.

Share page

A clean page with the file name, size, page count, Open and Download buttons and every code ready to copy.

HTML link, Markdown and BBCode

Copy the PDF as a clickable link for websites, README files and forums, or as a QR code for print.

Delete link and expiry

Keep it from 1 hour to forever. The private delete link removes the file for everyone at once.

Ways to use a PDF link

Email

Send a short link instead of a heavy attachment that may bounce or be blocked.

Chats and social

Share one link in WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or Slack that opens the full document.

Websites and forums

Use the HTML link or BBCode so readers can open your PDF in one click.

Print and QR codes

Turn a PDF to link, then print its QR code on flyers, menus or handouts.

Upload PDF get link: that is the whole process, and you can drop several PDFs at once to get a separate link for each one.

Supported files and limits

Format

PDF files only. Password-protected PDFs and PDFs with JavaScript, attachments, forms that send data or other active content are rejected.

Size and number

Up to 10 MB per PDF and up to 30 files at a time. Uploads are limited to 60 per hour per network to stop abuse.

How long files are kept

You choose: 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months or forever. Files nobody opens for 365 days are deleted automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF changed when I upload it?

No. The file is stored byte for byte as you uploaded it: no compression, no watermark and no added pages.

Will the link open in the browser?

Yes. The link sends the file as a PDF to be shown inline, so desktop browsers open it in their built-in viewer. Some phones download it or open it in a PDF app instead.

Can I delete the PDF later?

Yes. Open the delete link you got after the upload and confirm. The file is removed at once and the link then returns “not found”.

Who can see my PDF?

Anyone who has the link. Links are random and not listed anywhere, and we ask search engines not to index them, but do not upload confidential documents.

Is it free?

Yes. Uploading, links, codes, QR codes and delete links are free, with no account and no watermark.
